just one game as example eternal sonata to counter that.

it have a XBL Demo before release a year before, and the ps3 got it demo when the port was going to happen.

which it's the same that it's happening here just to different regions. but in contrast in have release dates really far from each other.

and if you say was because eternal sonata port was announce later for the ps3 it's the same for FF13 this time.

if PS3 demo Advent children american version it's done why not to release it?

Did you just try to prove my point, or are you arguing it? All I saw from your post was that the Eternal Sonata demo was timed to match the pre-release of each version of the game, which is exactly what I was saying. FF XIII is coming out in Japan on PS3 this Christmas(supposedly). So the PS3 in Japan is getting a demo. The game is coming out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 much, much later than that, so the demo is not coming over here yet and will likely come within an appropriate amount of time before the game's release in the West. Thank you for clarifying that with your Eternal Sonata example. I couldn't have said it better myself.

There's also no reason to think the american version of the PS3 demo is done either. If they have no intentions on selling it with Advent Children, then why would they bother localizing it? From Square's own mouth, they stated localization would begin simultaneously with the Xbox 360 port, meaning not until the game goes gold in Japan.

i said reasons were similar, but that only would be true if a english ps3 demo wasn't made.

and no,after the ps3 japanese version  it going to be first localize for the ps3, after the localization it's made they are porting it to the 360.

also the dvd9 m$ uses is a 8.5 gb capacity not 7gb, just to clear that up. also lost odyssey is the best rpg this gen and will be unless ff13 recaptures what ff12 destroyed with its utter mess of a game. i want too play ff13 very much but i can wait, because all the demo would do if its really good is make the wait even harder to deal with.

Your partically right.

While the disc itself is rated for 8.5Gbs Microsoft has about a 1.5GBs of security software on the disc making it so developers only have 7GBs to work with.

I thought it was 2GB, giving it 6.5GB of actual space.

I remember Resident evil 5 getting a demo in JAPAN where the PS3 is more dominant, So I don't get your point Onyx. Second, bringing the demo to US in the West will appease our anger for delaying this game even more because of the 360 version.

Let me repeat myself, since you obviously missed it the first time. I am pretty sure Microsoft PAID to have that demo of RE5 exclusively released on Xboxb 360 in Japan. If Microsoft had not PAID for the demo, I am fairly sure Capcom would not have given them one, or would have given it to both.

Now find me where that scenario of paying for demo exclusivity in any way matches up to the situation involving FF XIII's demo?

Do you really think Square Enix cares to appease the anger of PS3 fans in the West? If they did they would have predicted your wrath in advance and not decided to release FF XIII on Xbox 360 at all. They are obviously trying to build a little bit of a fanbase on Microsoft's console in addition to Sony's two platforms, so unless Sony forks over dough, I don't see any reason why they would show the PS3 preferential treatment involving the game.

I could care less for FFXIII, However it's a demo, I think the PS3 version is done already, would it be  such a big deal. I dont care release a dvd version for the 360 too, but don't hold it back because they don't want to show preferential treatment, SE has never cared that much.

I've already given my other reasonings why the demo is probably not being released here right now. It's too early. When the game gets closer to release I'm sure Square will package the demo in something or send it up over PSN and Xbox Live. It does nothing to hype the game right now and would be blowing their load early.

If you have any more rebuttals for me, please read my previous posts before typing them, because everything you have mentioned thus far I have already answered to other people in this thread and there's no reason for me to repeat the same things over and over. If you have anything new then go ahead and type away.
