On the interesting side, though, they are saying that they want a grind-light MMORPG. Almost an oxymoron there, I'm curious to know more about the game mechanics.

The point is....more people have computers than video game consoles. If you own even a relatively new PC (Like 4-5 years old), you can run many of these new games on low settings if need be. What is the point in owning a 360 if almost every title that peaks your interest can be played on another system? Why should you get to claim that it's "exclusive" if a good amount of people easily can play it as if it were a non-exclusive? This holds true for PS3/PC, Nintendo/PC, or 360/PC games. |
If they want to wait for it. As I said, those were timed exclusives, and 90% of the people that wanted it got them on the first platform. It is, to a large degree, why movie theaters are still in business. Sure my whole family can see that movie for a $5 rental... but we have to wait 6 months.
That CGI trailer was epic. The lead character was ![]()
I was pretty excited until I heard, MMORPG. Dang...
Still be interesting to see what sort of game mechanics they have in place. Grinding and spending countless hours just to get anywhere is not my cup of tea anymore.
Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2: No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?
If it wasn't MMORPG i would interested, i hate that genre, but it does look promising for people who like leveling up.

With the money saved on not purchasing a 360 (And using the PC you already have) you could easily have a different console of your choice and play even more games. At that point, does it really matter? It's just another release date.

I couldn't play this game on my computer for $199 X_X
I'd need a new graphics card, a processor, a motherboard to get it all running so, ya know, basically a new computer....hmm...and one of those little worm lights you hang over the desk to brighten it up in the dark.
So I think thats a little more then one-ninety-nine. Correct me if I'm wrong of course.
