Three - given most multi-plats sell roughly same on PS3 install base as larger 360 the incentive should be there so I'm guessing he's not let near the actual running of the business as his comment makes no sense regarding sales (unless he's thinking US centric, which I suppose he might be but again this only makes clear he doesn't understand global picture)
...

It dates back to October 2007, that's why.

Ah.  But wait... is the whole thing from 2007 (in which case why even discuss this) or do you mean you think his sales comments are based on that period while his development comments are based on current status?

The whole thing. The NeoGaf thread is October 2007, and it links to a blog entry in the October 2007 directory (dead link, btw).

That's why I said that discussing the exclusive bashing was moot. And I bet that a lot of developers have been coming to terms with heavy parallelization anyway in the last year and a half.

Jason Booth, a game developer who has worked on both Guitar Hero games and Rock Band, has posted some interesting comments on his blog regarding "PS3 misconceptions and spin."

This line basically tells a huge story.  2 of the least technically advanced games on the market and not only that, but they can't even get the games at the same resolution on the PS3 as the 360.

This tells me that he is either not a very good game developer, or one that has worked with not very good game development companies.

It is becoming apparent that if you dedicate the time to developing on the PS3 then the outcome is significant.

See:

Uncharted, Killzone 2, GT5P and MGS4 for starters

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

Prove it.

all the multiplat games prove it ;)

This sounds very close to the truth. All we get in other threads is articles on Sony spreading mindless propaganda on how much powerful PS3 "potentially" is than the XBox 360.

Honestly who the hell cares the difference is not big at all! Sit back and enjoy the games instead!

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

MikeB you pwnd this thread...

WereKitten... you are right but most of games now a days uses stream loads of little pieces of an area depending of your position... example... when you are in gta IV only a radius around your position is in memory, not all the city... besides the DL kill your advantage in read speed of a dvd in xbox360

Wrong logic, false data :)

- if _all_ multiplat games were better on the 360 than on the PS3, this would still not prove that a game could not be made on the PS3 that can't be done on the 360. Thus it would not disprove the thesis that the PS3 is more powerful. Wrong logic.

- not all multiplat games are better on the 360 ( go browse the Digital Foundry website ). False data.

The closing smiley is alright, though, and the syntax correct :)

I agree. That's why I said that I blame some developers for not working enough on sensible approaches to data loading.

Still, the factual truth is that the average transfer rate is higher in some cases on the DVD, that's the only thing I was puntualizing. From this it does not follow that load times on PS3 are terrible when compared to the ones on 360.
