I'm glad I live in Australia.. We have no real threats and I like that we're on our own with no neighbouring countries to contend with..

What I am proud of is Australia's award winning scientific research and our many discoveries that are really world class.. We do a lot for the world with our small population of 20 Million

I'm kinda proud that we aren't in recession too while the rest of the western world are in the shit..

Because australia tends to keep itself to itself and stays out of other countrys business.  And Australia is very choosy on who it lets in to the country and kicks out anyone who it doesn't like.

Last years australia kicked out a 61 year old convicted serial paedophile and send him back to britian even though he lived in australia since he was five years old and was a Australian really.  Now he is on the streets of britian and a risk to our children.

I think if you have mass immigration like that of britain it throws up alot of problems of its own.  Unlike countrys like Australia and Japan that have little or no immigration.

Australia sending convicts to the UK? Now that's a twist.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

LOL have you been to Australia? It's HIGHLY multicultural

Get your facts straight

Anyone who is not American need not reply. All users who have responded with other stuff besides yes or no or slight relation to the question have been reported. Stay on topic in this thread.

Aaaah! Foreigners are illegally immigrating to your topic!

"need not reply" :D  I'm a sucker for a good pun.

I'm not really "proud" to be an American--I didn't have much choice in where I was born, really, and I don't like taking pride in things that I didn't, myself, do.

But I do love the U.S., and what I believe my country stands for.  I think there are many great countries in the world but, in my opinion, America speaks most to the things I think are important--life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness--and so I feel fortunate to live here.

Is 'I'm proud to be a non-American' a valid reply then?
