"need not reply" :D I'm a sucker for a good pun.
I'm not really "proud" to be an American--I didn't have much choice in where I was born, really, and I don't like taking pride in things that I didn't, myself, do.
But I do love the U.S., and what I believe my country stands for. I think there are many great countries in the world but, in my opinion, America speaks most to the things I think are important--life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness--and so I feel fortunate to live here.
