Will the post DSi release games still be compatible with the DS, or is the DSi a new console with B/C?

 

Will there be games that are exclusive to the DSi, and not run on the DS?

-Yes they will be compatible, because it's not a new console, it's a revision/upgrade to the DS.

-I don't know, but I think it's possible.

Yes, DSi is a revision.

Will there be games that are exclusive to the DSi, and not run on the DS?

Right now only seems like downloadables, but it could change in the future.

It's a new console that plays most DS games via emulation. Yes there will be DSi only games released soon. Hope this helps.

Also, off topic: DSi doesn't just region lock the online stuff, it region locks regular DS games...what the hell, was no need for that.

...It does? I thought the software had to be region locked, not the hardware. You have import games you can't play on your DSi?

DSi is not region locked. Only DSiWare games are region locked. It has been confirmed many times that the DSi can play imported DS games. :V

I don't have a DSi, but someone I know does and his US copy of 'Super Mario 64 DS' does not play on it.

o_O

 

Weird. When I get a DSi, I'm gonna import a game and see what happens.
