Forums - General - Which Universe is more interesting? The Star Wars or the Star Trek Universe?

IMO the Star Wars Universe is much more interesting. I really like Coruscant. The urban city on Coruscant covers the whole planet!

That's pretty cool! Almost as cool as "Mega-City One" (Judge Dredd).

Star Trek, you got Klingons, Romulans, Vulcans, Ferengi, Earth is a utopia and you have The Wormhole, DS9, Bajour, Risa, Romulus, i could go on

Dont get me wrong, i love the Original Star Wars Trilogy, but Star Trek to me is just a cut above most anything else

edit: Pictures!

star wars is much more interesting universe. i think just because there are more games and the likes out, so we know alot more about it

I prefer Star Wars.

Starwars on a fantasy level.

Firefly on an intriguing Universe level.

there are alot of Star Trek games too, but theyre arent as many good ones as there are good star wars games.

They're both pretty epic. I was raised with Star Wars though, so being the biased guy I am I gotta vote for Star Wars.

Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?

More interesting? I'd go Star Trek.

More varied races, interesting races, more varied technology....

I mean in most Star Trek shows it seemed like you met a new thing every episode.

While the Star Wars movies could only do so much... and the expanded universe is largely crap.

Star Wars!

That was the big problem with the Start Treck Universe for me. Every episode was

Alien - "Welcome to our planet, we're a race of people that look just like you but have bumps on our noses. Our entire society revolves around a very simple social problem"

Starfleet - "Well have you tried using human compassion and ingenuity?"

Alien - "Gee, never thought of that. Thank you so much for saving our society with your values and our planet by reversing a particle stream or some other tech babble"

Starwars had one giant living universe in which everything interacted. I don't think anything in Startreck ever matched up to when you walk in to Mos Eisley Canteena.
