Eventually the Wii's library, Just like PS2's will balance out. Longevity is the great equalizer. I think if someone does a metacritic rating, albeit a metacritic maybe a bad example, but I bet my sig, you will notice that the Wii's Metacritic scores from risen over the last few years.

The PS2 got good games because it was the market leader and it still could handle the games its compitition got. The Wii can't handle HD games.....

The Wii's library will be a wasteland of garbage games with a few gems at the top. You remember the old saying "its like casting pearls before swine". That statment has never been more truthful.

@ BOLD: Aww man, you were making sensing before you said this.

Games like COD:WaW saling on Wii says other wise. As stated by ALOT of 3rd party publishers. You can't CONTINUE you ignore the elephant in the room. =D

And you are nuts if you think the Wii version of COD WAW is the same as the PS3 and 360 version.

Doesn't change the fact it's a good game for the system though does it?

You missed the point. The point was that the Wii can not handle the same games as its competition unlike the PS2 was able to do. Do you think that if the PS2 was like an N64 when the GCN and Xbox came out that it would have gotten the same games? No it would have gotten N64 ports and watered down GCN/Xbox ports...possibly with "stylized" graphics.

No no, I understood your point clearly. But what you were stating is that the Wii's Library would continue to be bad in your opinion, cause your point was based on the fact that it can't get games that are on the PS3/XB360 in your opinion.

...I was counterpointing that the Wii can STILL get those games watered down or otherwise, AND have them be good as well; COD:WaW as my example. Thus making my point that the Wii's library would balance out just as the PS2's did valid.

=)

Truth hurts I guess, aside from a handfull of titles like Vice City, San Andreas, God of War 1 & 2, POP: Sands of time, Madden, a few other sports titles, the PS2 was basically last gen's casual market.  The good news for playstation fans is that the PS3 is slowly building quite a killer lineup of titles because these companies that make these game went straight to Wii.

The funny thing is, the best selling Wii shovelware titles have not outsold the Wii's top selling core games.

Therefore, this article fails.

The money publishers are saving spending on the game development is probably going toward paying for shelf space.

This is the most probably scenario.

That might facilitate better sales but it's still the customer selecting and picking up the title at the end of the day.

They can't buy it if they can't see the game anywhere.

which brings me back to my original point.

@ JRPG: Hey reviewers called it good. Personally I liked the game alot, and if anyone ever sees Sgt. Skillz running around they know whos da man! *points at self*

sidenote: I hate the wall of text with the long reply. Also, way to ruin a debate! lol. Hell I got to get back to work anyways...
