I agree.  If you go into a Wii thread and point out bad graphics you're a graphics whore and a "Wii Hater".  If you go into a HD thread and complain about gamepads you're just making an observation.  If you complain about Wii casual games you're an elitist snob and a "Wii Hater".  If you complain about HD hardcore games in general you're just making a personal observation.

Both the Wii and HD consoles are improvements on the previous generation of consoles but people on each side that try to belittle or simply don't prefer the other's games and consoles are treated very differently.

My problem with Nintendo is the fact they never make new IP's. They would rather put out a new Mario then think up a new game.

It's actually kind of sad, its like they're afraid to expand their game linup in case they aren't successful. They take a HUGE risk making the Wii, and they don't even make new games for it besides the wii series games.

And I know they want to be family friendly, but come on, put some decent games on your console. Make it so M rated games have special packaging or something so parents know not to buy that game for their kid.

And lastly the Wii is barely more powerful than the original Xbox and its selling well. Come on its basically a slightly upgraded Gamecube with motion controls. The Gamecube failed, so why isn't the Wii? Oh yeah motion controls. Those are fun when your at your friends house with 3 other guys playing Wii Sports, but they suck when your alone and just want to play single player or online games.

People hate it because it's popular, bottom line. Console fanboys are the equivalent of those annoying indie kids who only listen to "real" music. I'm glad there's a console that doesn't pander to the typical male 18-34 crowd.

The ratio of male to female on this site is such that we assume everyone is male unless clearly shown otherwise (avatar, signature, etc.). But if you get to be well known, which you could do, then everyone will know by heart.

Because it's cool and clever to be a Nintendo hater on the web, that's why and it's like that since the N64 days. Hating the Wii is another 'cool and clever' way to be to follow the majority behaviour. If the Wii were made by Microsoft or Sony (mainly), everyone would love it, but it's from Nintendo...
