since i consider the starwars battlefront games the best starwars games ever created i was wondering if there would be a third one not one for the psp i mean one for the 360 or ps3

yeah they just brought it back to pandemic.

It was being handled by Free Radical, but sadly it's gone on. The rumor is that Pandemic has it again, after passing through Rebellion, but we're not entirely sure.

Also, there were a ton of articles about this whole thing around the time Free Radical was letting most of their staff go. It's sad that FR doesn't have this anymore, because the trailer looks really really amazing. =(

Well, as far as I know, that's the one rumor with the least bit of evidence to back it up. I never really believed it would be; there's a lot of money to be had by releasing it on all platforms.

And watching that trailer made me feel really nostalgic. =(

Well, the last rumor is that it's with Pandemic; the makers of the first two. That trailer was from Free Radical, and it does look really good.

Nothing has been officially announced, but I can't imagine Lucas would let such a profitable franchise die. The first two sold very well, and despite their flaws are really good games. I see no reason as to why we won't be seeing a Battlefront 3.

yeah i loved the video. i heard that it was going to be an exclusive, but then free radical was developing it and i eriously doubted a playstation dev. would make a xbox exclusive. i hope it has splitscreen

I don't know if you looked at those links I gave either. If not, you definitely should. It's got some concept art, and the second one just looks really cool; at least in my opinion. I realize many people won't like the idea, but it looks really cool at least. =D

@dsister44; I would imagine it would since the last two did. The whole "Live all your favorite battles any way you want" thing would seem to support that. At least I hope it does since splitscreen is where I've spent most of my time on the past games. ^_^
