why is it called top fighting games when its based the like top ten fighting franchise.

 no smash bros only had 3 games this is actually top ten fighting franchises.

I'm glad Mortal Kombat is fairly low on the list, I hate that game. Its not even fun.

Street fighter was good back in the day but its time has passed I think. I would even go as far to put Soul Calibur at #1.

This list once again proves gaming journalism is so out of touch with the real world it isn't even funny.

Mortal Kombat made the list, but no Super Smash Bros.? That's ridiciulous. Brawl is the best selling fighting game ever, Mortal Kombat hasn't been relevant anymore for over 10 years.

I'm glad to see they acknowledged a game that requires true skill (Virtua fighter) as opposed to button bashing (Tekken)

Where is Dead or Alive?

When was the last time we saw a Killer Instinct?

Soul Caliber should be lower on the list. It was good, not really compelling to me, but I did like SC II on the Gamecube.
