I see sometime this century China overtaking the USA (economically, politically and military).  I believe China is just sitting on the fence watching and listening.   It's slowly building up its technology to match and too better that of the United states.

China has also starting to have influence around the globe, especially in Africa and also has significant economic and stra­tegic interest in other parts of the world too.  And just this week china stated that the dollar should be replaced as the world currecy.

While America is fighting 2 wars and being draw into more conflicts around the world spending billions while at the same time having major problems back home (due to the banking system, job loses etc) China is getting stronger and more powerful by building up its people's liberation army with new technology and tactics and even planning on sending a man to the moon in the near future.

There are well over 1 billion people in china and has vast amounts of resources to tap into.   And we in the west buy a lot of china products due to them being very cheap to make and sell.  American business's can not compete with Chinese business due to the cost of staff, non-saftey record, taxes and so on.

China and Taiwan.....  China sees Taiwan as a part of China itself and has vowed to take it back if Taiwan ever declared indepence and the USA has stated that it will defend taiwan if that ever happens.   America sends vast amounts of aid to the taiwan goverment and military equipment (which I belive the technology ends up in the hand of the chinese).

The British empire was king for a long time, owning lands and imposing its will on the world.  But having 2 devastating wars with Germany brought about its downfall and when the dollar replaced the pound as world currecy it was the final nail in the coffin which turn britain from a Major Power into a minor player on the world stage.

Just as America overtook the british empire in the 20th century the chinese will overtake the USA in the 21th century (just my take what will happen).

No offense, but you just stated a bajillion things that everyone already knows. You must think we're a bunch of idiots to post this. It's one thing to state something and then explain your reasoning, but it's another thing to just mention all this rhetoric that has been said by every newspaper, blog, etc.
