Because it makes sense. Nintendo wants every Wii owner to have Motion+, and Wii Fit is an excellent peripheral-mover.

Well, wii fit plus sounds like a great idea. Wii fit is still flying off the shelves like crazy. Now those who got bored of wii fit can buy wii fit plus heheh.
