I know but mine was on the way out (the wife also wanted a black one as it matches the PS3 and table their on) and it wasn't HD.

£210 for a 120gb, resident evil 5, 2 controllers and 2 play rechargable kits is not a bad offer anyway to be honest.

I think its the luck of the draw.

Mine is an Aug 07 model 20 Gig (HDMI rev) so now 20 months old and its never given me so much as a moments trouble.

I appreciate that lots of people have had endless trouble with the launch consoles but all my friends who have had theirs repaired (two) and all the rest (eight or so) have not had any problems since or ever respectively.

I'm sure that consoles are still breaking down but it would seem the problem is largely sorted.

If mine RROD's I'll just get it repaired or if it is after the three years buy an Arcade bundled with a game I want and swap the HDD onto it.

Shouldve bought a 360 Arcade with Jasper chipset on eBay and just sold the old 360.  I just bought a 360 Arcade w/ Jasper chipset (newest model), w/ power brick (150W), 60GB Hard Drive, AV Cable, Wireless controller & PnC kit, Mass Effect, PGR4, Sega Superstars Tennis, 5 Arcade games on a disc, 48 hr XBL trial all for $190 w/ S&H.  I am going to sell my 360 Elite once it gets repaired by Microsoft since my Elite keeps getting E73 errors.

Its seriously not that bad, my brothers xbox360 broke down a week ago and I had an rrod myself as well. Both times only 7 days away and they picked up at our house. My brother got a whole new xbox360 with manufacturing date of 21 january 2009.
