Forums - General - Whatare your favorite vampire films?

BtVS is far and away the greatest TV show I've seen (you really should watch them in order if you get the chance).

And 'Salems Lot is a wonderful novel, though I've never seen the original miniseries and thought that the recent one wasn't all that good.

Movies, though? Your list makes me think I haven't seen many vampire films at all, good or bad. I've only seen Fright Night from yours, and that's a classic.

I also got a kick out of From Dusk Til' Dawn.

I enjoy a lot of things from King's novels that oftentimes get cut out in movie versions.  One thing I remember from Salem's Lot the novel was King's recounting of the interesting tale of Peter Stumpf.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

1931 Dracula w/ Bela Legosi and 1958 Dracula w/ Christopher Lee.

Sorry I guess you don't know Twilight that much... I meant Sparklepire in the way that vampires in this crap book/movie sparkle in the sun instead of burning. Ridiculous!

Oh and thanks for the reccomendations and stuff... I might check out some of them over the week.

I really liked Wall Street and a made for HBO movie called Barbarians at the Gate.

This whole thread and not one mention of Murnau's Nosferatu. Tsk, tsk.

The first Dracula film which is arguably the most frighting, eerie adaptation.
You can watch the full film on youtube here

Also I couldn't agree more Madman and Lolita about Twilight. Both the book and the movie are crap. The fact that so many people go crazy over it annoys the hell out of me >.>
