I was in 3 walmarts last weekend. The Wii/DS sections were half the entire section. Two were supercenters, one was a regular shitmart.

EXACT same thing in my Wal Mart...

I did notice that Sony has taken the main aisle in both Targets, however.  The PS360 were right next to the glass counter with the 360 and Wii moving to the next aisle over.  Now it's all Sony next to the glass and the Wii/360/DS are on the next row...  That's completely opposite of Wally World.

The Walmart where I am at switched to 3 sections for Wii, 2 for DS, 2 for 360, 1 for PS3, 1 for PS2, 1 for PSP and 1 for discount $20 and under (the only section not behind glass) that is mostly PS2 but also some xbox and occationally wii.

It's been DS -> Wii -> 360 -> PS3 -> PSP for a long time in my local Wal Mart. But I noticed they've put more space for DS and Wii games recently.

My Walmart ahs been DS -> PS3 -> PS2/PSP -> Wii & 360 all the way in the back.

Haven't been there in months but I'm sure they've changed it by now.

i have 2 walmarts where i live and they look indentical everywhere else but the games sections. they are both in the same spot and same size but one is the exact opposite

Sounds like it's time to check and report back.  It sounds like it is probably chain wide.

I just noticed that about a week ago.

Mine was the exact same way; PS3 was right on the outside where everyone could see, then the PS2 and PSP, then the 360, and finally the Nintendo stuff. They also changed it. At first, I was confused but I have been wondering why they hadn't done it before now. Fortunately, I found the PS3 games after a few seconds and promptly bought Killzone 2. =)
