Where did I "compare" ME to FF?  I said I preferred RPG like ME, over the JRPG stuff I've tried...THAT'S a comparison?  When the freak was that considered a comparison?

Don't see anything in there about a comparison to the two genres...I talked about what I preferred...at this point, I MIGHT get FF, but I've not really found a JRPG that I really like, whereas I'm most certianly getting Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2.

Well, Mass Effect plays like a TPS. It doesn't play nearly as well as Gears or Ghost Recon, but you still play the game as a TPS.

Errr...yep.  So Star Ocean is a TPS as well I guess, since the battles are Real Time and you control (BTW, ME is a dice roll)your attacks...so is Last Remnant and a host of other JRPGs.

Not at all. ME is a RPG in that you move and shoot as you were in Gears of War. There is a HUGE difference between SO4 and ME.

I guess...I thought ME was a dice roll, which would make it very much unlike Gears of War, whereas Star Ocean is a tactile system, like Gears...you miss, based on ur bad aim, not a dice roll.  But in the greater scene, it's alla dice roll, since it is games, and there has to be some some computations at the heart of whatever move you make.  So at the core, all thee games are the same...

So I came back to write about how I meant you were comparing them in value, not as gameplay, but you're after comparing them in even more ways now, heruamon.

They are just too different to compare, ragardless of how the damage is computed or what else makes them tick.

But tbh I agree with one thing, I'd be way happier if the Japanese had kept the ps3 and the xbox had remained shooter box, and the ps3 wasn't trying for that title as well. Though in regards to the first point, I don't quite believe it was the Japanese gamers begging to have those JRPGs put on the xbox, and although I'm too far from cutting DVDs, there are very few factors now that ultimately stop my xbox purchase be a total waste. Which is what these particular photos might be about.

Well, I gotta say... its much better then the PS3 fan who committed suicide over FFXIII going over to Xbox 360.
