Necron appeared because Kuja destroyed the crystal (which IIRC can destroy life because it was a life source? Or either destroy that one tree. I don't remember exactly but it was something along this lines.) so Necron assumed that everyone didn't really care about the world anymore so he wanted to return the world back to zero. So yes, he did make sense in appearing. The crystal WAS important. Necron then was defeated and said he'd come back as long as there are people who want to destroy the world.

@hatmoza

Kuja was the second to last boss.

 True, but he wasnt the face of evil throughout the game like Kuja was

Thats like saying Sephiroth wasnt the villian in FF VII . Jenova was (which is ironcally true)

At least Sephiroth was the final boss. Jenova wasn't, and Necron was.

 Well Necron and Kuja can share a boat in the sea of crappiest villains ever

Yeah, I was talking Necron (the final boss), not Kuja.

Actually, he was quite good. Really made you compelled to go and bash his teeth in. New age of half elves? my ass.

@ Xxain and Xen

First of all i can't take a villain that got hit by a small ass fireball from Genis and could hardly stand after getting hit seriously.

Second he had this whole religion thing going just to revive his sister? WTF.

Third after he revived his sister through Colette she told him to leave her alone and let her reat in peace yet he took it as " she wants me to destory the world" or something like that. I can't remember exactly.

Very uncompelling.

Not a bad villian though just could not take him seriously.
