Forums - Gaming - XCM Cross Battle Pro. Says it works with wired 360 controllers, but...

Will it work on my PS3 using a wireless 360 controller with the charge and play adapter connected as well? Both ways seem to use USB.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

It won't work, the play and charge kit is only for charging, the signal is still being sent wirelessly.

My friend actually has it and brought it over for me to check out. He's right, the controller HAS TO be wired. On top of that, the device is nice but it randomly stops working at times. I wouldn't recommend buying one if you haven't already. I wasn't that impressed.

So I guess my weekend project of replacing my PS3 analogs with the interchangable convex/concave analogs from my Alienware gamepad is my only choice.

Thanks guys.

Let me know how that works for you.  I might do something similar, I do have 5 PS3 controllers (6 if you include my HRAP-3), so I've got one to spare.

He must have the XCM Cross Battle, not the Pro. I also had the proless one and indeed it stopped working sometimes, that was because XCM sucks big time and the ones who bought the first Cross Battle were actually just the beta testers so to speak. So first they fuck us over with the XCM Cross Battle and then they fucked us over again by making the XCM Cross Battle Pro more expensive for actually working correctly this time. But the Pro does indeed work flawlessly.
