Brilliant. What really drives me nuts is that in spite of the fact that French-Canadians are such a small minority, ALL games sold everywhere in Canada have both a French manual and French slip-cover attached to the game box. What a HUGE waste of paper. And an lame extra cost to publishers. And once you factor in the French population that is also fluent in English, it gets even more ridiculous.

Well, in fairness, French and English are the two official Canadian languages, so I do think that things should be in both languages, but they're kinda dicks about the language laws in Quebec.

I live in Montreal, Quebec. By the looks of it, it seems that our government wants our economy to suffer, & this is during a recession.

If a French version is available, this law requires that it be released in Quebec. If you can't be bothered to make a French localization, you can still sell your game in Quebec in whatever other language.

Or, you could keep freaking out, if you really must.
