Forums - Nintendo - Recommend me a Wiiware game/games.

LIT is decent. Kind of a creepy puzzle type. Not entirely puzzle though, especially the boss fights.

FFCC is fairly engaging. Not real long, but decent for the price. Not a lot of replay value (IMO) after you beat it, but better then some games... It's like a simulation of a game. Instead of you playing a RPG / dungeon crawler, you play the role of the king and decide what buildings and shops and stuff to build and make available, etc... It's an interesting twist that works better than I expected.

Hmm, FFCC does seem interesting... but the price still puts me off.

@okr. I see someone missed out most of the OP I am already getting World of Goo... this thread is for deciding what to do with the points remaining after that purchase.

I don't think I am interested in LIT really, it looks a bit dull to me.

What about Niki Rock and Ball? Does anyone have that? Is it a platformer?

Dr Mario & Tetris are both online, can play random people, and both are outstanding. There is a reason both Tetris & Dr. M have been popular since the 80's. Both are timeless addicting games. I have a lot of Wiiware games, and both of these always get play, especially with the online.

BAM! There it is!

COD MW Reflex 541192229709

I have 1500 points myself, and I'm gonna wait for whenever that Explodemon comes out.  That looks better than everything out right now

Hey TWRoO, I was just preparing for my weekly after-midnight-Wii-channel-data-check when I decided to quickly login to VGChartz first. I discovered this thread, skipped the whole OP except the first sentence in brackets and - boom - recommended the only game I really liked from my sensational collection of three WiiWare games. Now you made me switch to my Mac for a longer second post and the channel data will be sent even later.

@jlauro EDIT: Sorry I meant @EssosDeeos:  I'm a huge Calvin & Hobbes fan as well as one of the biggest Monkey Island fans on this site, but I'm probably the only person on this planet who doesn't want a Monkey Island sequel or new C&H cartoons. Great things have to come to an end. Bill Watterson has my eternal respect for ending one of the best cartoons ever created after 10 years of continuous joy (and even more for never ever permitting C&H merchandising).

I've now read the OP, and from the games mentioned in this thread I would either buy Tetris Party (if I wouldn't already own the wonderful DS version), Art Style: Orbient or Bit.Trip Beat (these two look very interesting).

Good review site for WiiWare games: http://wiiware.nintendolife.com/reviews (not so much for the scores, but to get a quick and good overview of what the games you're interested in are about).

And...I'm off to collect channel data.

I"m a huge fan of Dr Mario. I've played well over 100 games online and hundreds more against friends and family. I recommend that over all else.

You are already gone... but thanks

And you didn't have to reply now by the way if it were delaying your collecting ... but there is no rush to collect anyhow as I haven't done UK yet... I usually do mine with the Friday shop rankings.

---------

And I think I am hovering towards one of either Tetris or Dr.Mario.... but that still leaves me 500 (or slightly more) points.... Has anyone here got Art Style Orbient or Cubello? as I could just convert enough stars for 100 Wii points and get one of those as well.

Ah wait... Tetris is 1200... I think that may settle it, I will get Dr.Mario plus one of the Art Style games.

bit. trip. beat.

Quite awesome and it doesn't cost much.
600 I think?

Predictions For Last Full Week of Sales in 2010)

WII - 80.35 Million

360 - 43.88 Million

PS3 - 41.40 Million

More terrible predictions coming Jan. 2011!!!

I want to try the Art Style games, but have not gotten to them yet. Anyone play any or all of them? I have heard good they are all good, most of the hype points to Orbient. Are the others as good.........?

Here are some games I have some interest in, but would like to know more about them from people who own them before I decide.... I will also accept other reccomendations, although I am not interested in Megaman 9, so I wouldn't try to persuade me on that one.

Art Style: Orbient
The better of the two Art Style games, but they're both pretty damn good

Art Style: Cubello

Dr.Mario (in particular can you play randomers online in addition to friends) You totally can, and it's fantastic.

Bomberman Blast (also details about online stuff) I didn't enjoy this game, but I'm no Bomberman vet.

LIT is a decent puzzle game with a cool horror atmosphere and a very reasonable price (800 points). I find the puzzles to be a little linear, and the controls are a little clumsy, but the game mechanics are creative. Boss fights!

MaBoShi's Arcade is a very under-appreciated gem on WiiWare. Three simple games with deep and challenging gameplay. Each is controlled with one button or the d-pad, making them perfect for playing while drinking, but don't think that means any of them are easy. This game also features simultaneous local multiplayer for up to three players and DS download play.

If you aren't adverse to VC, I'd recommend you round things out with an NES classic like SMB3, Punch Out!! or River City Ransom (forget the EU name for it).
