Forums - Sony - Oblivion IV on PS3 or PC?

I`ve played this game on PC. I used mods to get prettier characters, but it was a hell of a job. My PC is strong enough to run the game on high settings, but I`m tired of installing, advanced mod installing etc.

So what do you recommend?

Should I buy this game for PS3 or PC? How is the graphics on PS3 vs. PC?

Thank you.

Buy it for the PS3

Being a cricket fan is much simpler and more fun

The PS3 version runs pretty good, it wont run it as well as a high end PC would though. I never had any problems with it.

I'd say stick with PC because you can get the mods for stuff like better graphics, new quests, items, and weapons. You also get mouse and keyboard support for better in-game and menu control (not to mention UI mods). What's also helpful is that you can use console commands with the PC version which has actually helped me a few times to get through things faster (after I had already beaten the game once) and helped to unbreak a couple of quests.

I believe the PS3 version had a little big of a leg up on the 360 version with a little better loading times. However, there's also a large mandatory install on the PS3 version (around 4.5 gigs I believe).

You wont be able to escape an install either way so I'd say the PC version is the lesser of two evils :P

If you are into mods then go for PC... if you not that i would go with the Oblivion Game of the year eddition PS3

pc is always better.

I've played the PS3 version of Oblivion and it is really broken. There are tons of rock formations throughout the game you can get stuck in, quests you can't pass (some which even involve the main storyline, this happened to me), and a serious lack of extra content. I'd definitely suggest the PC version.

I've played all 3 versions of the game (ps3/360/pc) and the PC version is by far the best. Since you can run it at full power, you'll enjoy it all the more. The mods that you can place in the game are also really useful. It's potentially never ending if you play through all of them.

ELDER SCROLL IV : OBLIVION

Unless Bethesda made three Oblivion sequels that I wasn't are of ?

@Illegal

I'm pretty positive that the install is silent. Meaning you don't have to actually wait until it's done. You can play right away and the game will install itself without you even noticing.
