or if you want to be like me, just get a DS Lite and buy an R4 online. It's basically a mod to play free DS games, put music and watch videos in it. There's also another mod I heard that can play NES and SNES games by using the GBA slot.
You can't use an R4 with a DSi and the mod for NES games because there's no more GBA slot. R4 is around $40.
If you want to stay legit, then Pokemon Platinum, Final Fantasy IV, New Super Mario Bro. Or choose games from the bottom link.
