"Over the past months, several veteran developers have been forced into hard times due to the economic slump, notable Midway, Free Radical(now owned by Crytek), and Factor 5. Factor 5's, the developer best known for Nintendo's Rogue Squadron franchise, downward spiral could be pinned on the heavily anticipated PS3 exclusive Lair. The title suffered numerous delays, and upon it's release, was a critical and commercial flop.
This caused Sony to drop their partnership with Factor 5, who had since entered into pre-production on another PS3 exclusive title. The title, known to the media simply as 'Factor 5's 2nd PS3 Project', was put on hold. However, an insider blog has since revealed some concept art and shots of the game. The game looks like some sort of space odyssey, with emphasis on both air combat and ground combat.
Factor 5 was placed deeper in trouble when it was announced that publisher Brash Entertainment, who signed them to do a Superman game, closed their doors in December of 2008. While Factor 5 never announced that they were officially out of comission, insider reports have indicated the developer is no longer in operation."
