Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo criticised by Greenpeace

"With climate change at the forefront of this week's G20 Summit in London, Nintendo will be disappointed to hear that it's once again been rated rock bottom in Greenpeace's list of electronics manufacturers. The list looks at manufacturers' use of toxic chemicals - a big problem in consumer electronics, says Greenpeace. No details were given as to why Nintendo fairs so badly, but Greenpeace does say it believes that "all electronics companies should have at least one toxic-free line of products on the market by the end of the year," which is fair enough. Elsewhere in the list Microsoft performed almost as badly as the Big N, sitting unhappy in the red area of the green-o-meter, while Sony is almost half way into the green. Well done them. "Exposing electronics companies to public pressure is helping to green the industry," says Greenpeace. "They could do much more, not only to clean up their own act, but to help the planet avoid runaway climate change."

Nintendo really could not care less what GreenPeace has to say. I also find this environmentalism amusing. Mankind & the environment cannot co-exist. Deal with it.

Lol, again.

Perhaps they should just do their own research and take apart a Wii, instead of just rating zero because Nintendo didn't speak with them.

I guess its good that no one takes them seriously. It would be nice if they publically showed the study's methodology.

Oh well those douches from Greenpeace really should just look at the amount of Energy that Wii consumes and then talk.

How disgraceful. Nintendo should just stop all production and crawl into a corner to think things over.

Shame on them :P

They were in last place, last year too but It was only because they refused to provide any information at all to greenpeace about their product - Greenpeace doesn't actually buy and test the products themselves.
