hey, i have not said anything about rare in a while so i decided to make this thread.                                                  Important note; this in no way means i want them to go back im simply listing why it would be good for them.

10. it will shut up fanboys

9. brand recognition( hardcore nitendo fans no rares games)

8. new donkey kong country

7. get more sales for there cartoony games.

6. will get some awesome updates with the Miis

5. make awesome motion control games(although the xbox is getting it this year)

4. will not have to worry about microsofts habit of shutting down first party

3. nitendo will probably strengthen them with new employees, and the latest tech

2. how awesome would viva pinata on the wii

1. we will finally get a rerelease of goldeneye on the virtual console

so discuss. and please no haters.

I dk, if we are discussing the value of Nintendo as a close publishing partner i would say you have to be kidding. Lately they totally f-----ed many of these 3rd/2nd whatever's with no marketing, no western release help, etc.

But the reality is Rare is not Rare anymore, its an empty broken shell. There is no yoke.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Rare didn't leave Nintendo. Nintendo sold Rare. Misleading title.

Nintendo didn't just sell Rare to Microsoft, they had no choice but to sell them to Microsoft after Microsoft bought the majority of shares (51%) from the Stamper brothers (Nintendo owned the other 49%).

Misleading post.

nintendo had the option to buy the the remaining 51%, they just chose not buy the shares, in the long run it seems like nintendo made a good decision, even though i would love to see new blast works.

I wouldn't won't Rare back unless it was the "dream" team they used to have. If they are not a part of it then only the properties to stay with Ninty as they may have been able to do a better job.

I completely agree

Rare was way better with nintendo it was the company that made new cool franchises but also knew how to revive known franchises and give them their own touch. I think that the rare that was with nintendo was one of the best VG companies ever.

im not saying that i want them to go back i just go back. im just saying what would be the benefits of it. and i was wondering if you guys agreed with them.i dont want them to go back i love them with microsoft.

Microsoft now has RARE.....Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct, Banjo, Viva Pinata, Battletoads and more.

PREDICTIONS:
(Predicted on 5/31/11) END of 2011 Sales - Xbox 360 = 62M;  PS3 = 59M;  Wii = 97M

If I'm not mistaken, the only game from Rare that I own is Starfox Adventures and I loved it to pieces. It was their last game for Nintendo was it not?
