3d is awesome. .. i saw a real 3d movie designed for real 3d.. that shit was amazing.. now it's time to be able to play that :P
@Mr.Y: The idea here is to view different image for the right eye and the left eye (think of how view-master works). You need special glasses that close each lens (what i've read so far) 60 times per second (meaning you need 120Hz display), so that the image for each eye is viewed the 60 times each second, one eyes image at a time.

That is stereoscopic. They have been making autostereoscopic displays that do the same thing but built into the screen. It has to be viewed at a certain angle in order to get the effect from what I've read. I'm not sure exactly how they work.

@Mr.Y: Yes. I just wanted to point out the idea.
It's been a while since i read about the autostereoscopic displays, but if i recall, it's about how the picture is shadowed or there's different reflective surfaces that can change their angle. Propably different tech for different manufacturers/researchers.
