BTFeather55 said: Hideo's next project will sell more copies than Metal Gear Solid 4. Actually, Konami is going to have both Kojima's Special Project and Metal Gear Solid 5: Raiden headed to the PS3 as exclusives. And anyone that doesn't believe that they will both be system sellers is delusional.
And, Kingdom Hearts 3 can go either way (on Wii or PS3 imo). However, if it does come to PS3 then the PS3 will top 10 million sold in Japan this gen. Anyone that doesn't believe that there are big Japanese exclusives on the way for the PS3 during the rest of this gen has no idea what they're talking about.
You don't go head to head with the Wii for most of a year in Japan and not receive big exclusives of your own. Example: PSP and its expanding library. While DS is getting remakes from Square, the PSP is getting brand new games from Square like Dissidia, Crisis Core, and Agito and those games have been among the biggest titles in Japan the last few years. |
You sure like to make a lot of statements as "facts" even when these games haven't been announced yet.

I guess it comes from the fact that I['ve called games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma II and Tales of Vesperia PS3 months before they've ever beed announced. What you have to do is look at circumstances in the present and and see how they will affect what will happen in the future.
And while the 360 has failed to really take off in Japan, the PS3 has been duking it out with the supposably invulnerable Wii for most of this year and been very close, ahead or tied with Wii for almost the last three months.
Now what we do know is that Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy XIII, and Versus XIII are all headed to the PS3 as exclusives in Japan. Judging from past performances of games in these series on past Sony consoles, these three games will have the cumulative effect of rapidly doubling the size of the PS3's install (while the 360 has nothing comparable on the way and games that were once thought to have been able to spur 360 sales in that country like Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, and Tales of Vesperia have failed to do so), and when a console in one region has five to seven times the install base of another console you very rarely see increased game development for the console with the smaller install base especially when past big titles on the console with the lower install base haven't shown that they sale all they well to begin with.
