Ok, this is just a joke, so no one get mad at me personally, but look at what we can do now!

If you want a next gen console that can play PS2 games and new current gen games, you can get the following:

Xbox 360 arcade - $199
PlayStation 2 - $99
-------------------------
Total:             $298

Or, if you are a real classic PS fan you can have full PS backwards compatibility, PLUS Xbox backwards compatibility, plus Xbox 360 current generation gaming support for $298!  Now no one needs a PS3 unless you absolutely have to have those handful of exclusives (or Blu-Ray)!

Why would you need a PS1 if you would get PS2?

How is that possible? I thought a console had to be anywhere from 1-2 generations removed from it's predecessor to emulate it. I mean from a hardware standpoint of course, so the Wii would be a nonfactor in what I mean.

I agree , it's pretty much impossible for consoles in the same generation to emulate each other, especialy with the PS2's unique architecture.
