If FFVII used 100% of PS1's power I wonder how much FFVIII and FFIX used?! O.o

Who wants to make a sig bet that the 360 version will be gimped?

Like every developer they all use 100% of the power. It's just that some developers program in better ways to make better use of the 100% power. Do some research people. Resistance 1 used 100% of the power. Their knowledge got better and they wrote better engine for a better game for Resistance 2.

There is no scale of say Res 1 used 70 % KZ2 uses 95%. It doesnt work like that.

CRYEngine 3 demo footage blows everything on console away so far, and thats the 360 demo footage. So everyone calm down, consoles will have better games to look at after FF13.

Dont believe me? have a look at the footage HERE and HERE of Cryengine 3 running in demo realtime on 360 behind the interview developer.

Depends... What counts as being gimped?

Only thing I can think of is if the game suffers the same fate SO4 did, where you needed to swap discs everytime you wanted to backtrack in the game, but I doubt S-E would let this happen to their bread and butter title.

The first one is too broad (like 1% of people would notice), and the second isn't really gimping the game...

To each his own I guess. I loved the 7.1 in MGS4. But the truth is we won't know for quite a while. They are not even going to start working on the 360 port until the game is fully translated.

No, they will start working on the 360 version once the Japanese version is completed. The US/EU translations will be done while the 360 version is being completed.

I also read the other day that the story portion and scenarios are1 00% complete now, with the graphics around 80%.

This is not true

"same case applied to Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X, which pushed the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 to its limits"
