Everything looks better in HD, even blue cartoon hedgehogs.

... and similarly ...

realism is directly proportional to the resolution of the graphics

Misconception: Prices in US $ and € are comparable by simple currency conversion, which gives you the right to bitch that you're getting ripped off or that Sony/MS/Nintendo make much more profit from Europe than USA.

Reality: European prices include VAT while American ones don't. So please divide European prices by 1.2 before converting to US $. (based on VAT being around 20%).

Woh, whats VAT?  I'm curious, I haven't ever herd of this.

System X being reduced in price to less than/equal to system Y will not necessarily lead to system X having higher sales than system Y.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

A developer does not get the full $60 or $50 spent on a game. Often, more than 75% of that money goes to retailers, shipping companies, manufacturers, licensers and publishers.

It was not the hype of the PS2 that killed the Dreamcast, it was SEGA's poor business decisions.

A game rated M is often more geared towards children and teenagers than adults.

While a gaming PC can be quite expensive, there are ways to build one thats costs less than the cost of a Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.

Pokemon did not save Nintendo from financial ruin.

A perception of value to the average gamer is not the perception of value for the average gaming consumer.

The average game developer is generally healthy.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Oh Brett will be released on PS3/360 and PC in march 2015.

The Wii is not just a kiddie/old person system. The Wii is not a fad.  (for people that state that it is a fad / kiddie system)

Gamers are highly-developed uber-beings who can tell the quality of a game in advance on the evidence of two screenshots, one rumour and knowing which console it will be on. They will buy, play and support the game on that evidence alone. Good for gamers!

... on the other hand ...

Casuals are unthinking sheep who think they can tell the quality of a game in advance on the evidence of the box art, some word-of-mouth and knowing what console it will be on. They buy, play and support the game on that evidence alone. Down with casuals!
