I was wondering how much the people here actually like their favorite console so far.
Although it may not seem like it, I'm an avid PS3 fan who's favored the console since it first launched. I also like the Xbox 360 quite a bit, but the PS3 has much more going for it. When it comes to games, the PS3 has a lot of good one's; however, they're not all in the genres that I tend to prefer. A lot of the bigger franchises that the Playstation brand is known for aren't exactly to my liking. What sets the PS3 apart from the other consoles is the fact that it has, without question, the best first-party games on it. The downside to the PS3's library, however, is that the diversity in it's quality games does not expand very far. It has a great game in a lot of different genres, but it only has multiple great games in a few select genres. So it becomes a major problem if your tastes go beyond the one area where the console excels, because you end up having to wait long periods of time before the next game you want comes out. I own more consoles, so it hasn't really effected me personally.
If I had to rate how much I liked it, I would give it a 7.9 out of 10. Just to have something to compare it to, I would give the Gamecube a 9.6 out of 10 (my favorite console last generation).
