first, welcome to the site.

Second, yes they are known for making lots of sports games. However, I think EA is more known as the mega software company that makes lots of multiplatform games in a wide array of genres.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

They've REALLY turned their perception around in the course of this generation alone. They are starting to become as much known for their somewhat experimental and high-quality games as they are for their Annual Roster Updates.
