Mass Effect 2 project director Casey Hudson has told GTTV that a third Mass Effect game is likely to include space combat."There is no actual space combat in Mass Effect 2, but thats something that we wanna have as part of the trilogy at some point," he said.

Actually, I'm relieved that space combat won't be in Mass Effect 2. I fear that it wouldn't mesh well with the other gameplay elements. However, given that the game(s) are story driven there's bound to be some space combat, and well...actually I'd prefer to watch space combat in a cutscene.

I never had a problem not seeing space combat in ME. Then again, if implemented correctly, I wouldn't mind seeing it added, either.

I think it would feel tacked on if it was in the third game and not the others. I'd rather they just focused their energy on refining the gameplay that is already part of the game, and making sure that it has no texture pop or framerate drops.

Depends on how they pull it off - my faith in Bioware when it comes to action sequences isn't exactly unshakable.

well if its good i will enjoy it but i dont want them to add it if its poorly implemented. But damn ME2 hasnt even come out and were already speculating bout ME3. Im dying to Play ME2

Well considering the main enemies are bloody huge sentient spaceships it makes sense really.
