I think it will be a new game or service for the PS3 (PS2 BC is possible, or Netflix, or some service resulting from the merge with VAIO and Walkman). If there was a PS3 price cut coming soon, we'd be seeing leaks already.

However, a PS3 price cut would make things very interesting, especially from the financial perspective since they promised shareholders they'd focus on profitability.

It would also be another nail in Sony's coffin. At the rate they're losing money, they could go bankrupt 1-3 years from now if the recession doesn't stop soon (which I don't think it will).

No price cut for the PS3 this year. I think this time next year will be the big price drop for the PS3.

A PS2 drop to $99 looks like a sure thing, and the announcment of the next home update.

I highly doubt the PS2 BC. I just bought a PS2 slim that plays all PS2 games at gamestop for $50 and FF12,MGS2/3, God of War, etc. for like 5 bucks a pop.
