FF11.....{sigh}

Don't mean to take the thread off topic but what could've been yet another FF title we all would have debated to death about.....it became an MMORPG

anyways.....this update...is it any good?

They can't. You can play the PS2 version of FFXI on the PS3, but it looks like utter shit. My friend on it has done it and the visual resolution sucks. It's MUCH higher on the PC and X360. And Square-Enix will not release FFXI for the PS3 because it's a bitch to program for. It was much easier to port and enhance the game on the X360 since the architecture is similar to the PC.

Not necessarily an update, more like an optional storyline to install. There are three of them. I might do these storylines much later once my Dragoon gets high enough. It's recommended to be at least Lv50 or above for these storyline quests.

And even the 360 version looks like shit compared to PC. Not to mention the lag, not sure why but 360 version has very nasty lag. SE wont enhance and port to ps3 at this point because..well.....there really isnt much of a point to anymore. FFXI is getting pretty long in the tooth and this expansion and even the last kinda show it. The last expansion was pretty weak compared to previous imo, and this one just seems like what should be a patch that instead has a $10 price tag on it. SE is just trying to keep it profitable and successful as long as possible until they can finish thier new MMO.
