The PS2 is the best selling game system of all time with a total of about 140 Million Copies. The Wii has sold about 48 Million Copies. Nintendo has stated that E3 2009 Wii games will help the Wii beat out the PS2 in total sales. I personally think that 140 Million is very hard to top. I as a Nintendo fan of course wants the Wii to win but I think that Nintendo will need to step it up even more if they want to take the title as best selling system of all time.

Note to Zelda fans don't even say that with a new Zelda title wii will win because it will take a lot more!

The wii is on track to win but if it trends in the rest of the world i.e, it "gets old/tired"(probably unlikely) like it has in Japan, it won't win.

The PS2 will win. No matter how much Wiis are sold during this year, the Ps2 worldwide sales will be larger than Wiis worldwide sales.

I'm gonna say Wii because I've seen graphs with the launches aligned. Somebody should post one of those graphs.

I thought he was referring to lifetime sales because it highly delusional for anyone to expect nintendo to sell 100 mil wiis in 2009. They can't even manufacture that many.

Americans are in love with the wii so it could sell 200mil lifetime here alone (I kid). Even newscasters play wii fit now lol.
