Forums - Gaming - ea sports taking on espn

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/05/arts/television/05game.html?ref=arts

EA sports, after buying a 15 year license with espn says it will now compete directly with them.

Espn has to be feeling good about this. They dump the best football game in the world, go with EA who doesn't even use them in there football game, and now they are becoming competitors.

I would rather them give me my money back for Madden Wii 08 then worry about things other then gaming.

Around the Network

They use ESPN in the games. There is a sports ticker at the bottom of the online lobby pages.

Yes, but this article clearly states that they want to now directly compete with Nike and ESPN. They want to do things with sports outside of video games, like network tv shows, football camps for kids, etc.
