So? Who the hell is buying starter anyway?

Exactly what I was thinking. Even if you're in a region where it's available, it'll be cheaper than the other versions anyway, so I don't see what the problem is.

Well, this kind of behavior is common on VGC. Biased posters establishing the most inconsequential propaganda to discredit Microsoft (a failed attempt).

It's called the started edition for a reason, and with the reduced price, limitations are expected.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

Isn't starter meant to be installed on netbooks and if it is, it makes sense.

I think netbooks should use version of Linux not this trash.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Here in Brasil some people have no choise, the computers that are sold in wallmart and carrefour always comes with windows... starter.

Afterwards you can upgrade for a pirate decent version, but you have to buy with this pice of crappy (or buy computer parts and build your own PC, but fell plp know how to do it).

They were starting to sell linux PCs in Brasil and other poor countrys, so MS had this brilliant idea of build a cheap windows for us...

Well, it kind of seems that way considering certain posters are overly critical and dismissive of a product that has yet to launch.

And I am assuming you know Microsoft's epxectations to determine whether it will sell "well" months before launch? That's interesting.

Anywho, the product is for market in developing countries. I really do not see what the big issue is. I am sure, that those who want more have the resources to access and purchase a personal computer with qualities that fit their needs.
