But I think the biggest lack has been darth. I miss him but I also miss his way of making everyone around more fun.

Cheers MUGEN, a nice reminder that things aren't as fanboyish as they once were here, even if it doesn't feel like it. It's like the PS3 Jihaders have left to be replaced by a much less psychotic bunch, although there are far more of them it gives the impression of being over run by the infidels, must remember they are only henchmen and henchmen go down with simple facts.

But true enough, you guys are quite the bunch that stand together.

Then there are some Sony-ish multi-plat guys like Svenno-J, Oniyide and BazilZero who kind of represent, but are more multi-plat and don't usually favor one or the other, yet can sometimes bend Sony.

I for one am ultra Nintendo, all the way. But I do like ND's work, and have greatly enjoyed team Ico's SotC. I am also a huge fan of Capcom, Square, Namco and Konami which were S/NES then PS for 2 whole generations before they went multi.

Personally, I generally go Nintendo, then Sony. But I like Xbox's controller and some of their effort to appeal to the broader customers.

Yeah, there are still a lot of Sony fans here, but none of there are as fun as past fans like Darth, Patapon, Gigamesh, etc. CGI is stil here, but he seems to only post in TLOU threads. MUGEN posts less often too. Badgenome is still here, but he's more here to tell jokes, rather than express his Playstation Love. In fact, I think Badgenome has created more posts trolling the Playstation rather than praising it.

I remember Darth when I was just new in 2009, I used to post so rarely. I don't remember him being all that awesome. Could any of your memories of them be tainted with nostalgia? Maybe it's just cause I'm not a PS fan. Patapon was cool, but I remember him being a bit of a fanboy at times. The forums are much better now. We can actually talk. Gilgamesh, the guy who created the playstation religion? :D That guy! haha

CGI is an excellent poster, no doubt about it. Lots of insight, alot of the older guys post less today because (please no offense) they have less to prove. Look at their total post counts. Rol, Seece, CGI, Badge, Darth, Naz, so many of these guys barely post anymore because they all found their place and don't need to prove stuff to each other anymore. Some of us 2nd generation guys (2009+) with lower post counts still have things to yank each other on, so it's our turn. Some people will say we're spammers, but how the hell did they get to 20k posts in the first place??

People used to post like crazy, that's the only answer I can think of. Look, my new profile, I made it in mid-Jan. I'm at 790 posts. How soon would I reach 20k? It would take me two years at this rate, and I post a hell of alot. Then people call you a spammer.

This site is crazy sometimes like that. You post too little, you're a nobody. You post too much, you're a spammer. Then, nobody wants to pull each others legs anymore, so how do you debate?

Hey, I've noticed some people have a knack at going back and forth and not breaking the vibe. For sure it's something I'd like to learn. Then again, there used to be tons of people here at a time. Threads would go up to 50, 100 pages in a matter of a day or two.

Yeah man, those were the days. Now, everything is all serious. I wasn't too familiar with Darth, but people loved him, so I guess he was cool. I know he was very enthusiastic about his favorite games, so I guess that was enough.

Dialogue in general, exchange of posts. Short posts without goin into too much detail.

Funny thing about this whole good post/bad post thing. Some people say you're not serious enough, others you're too serious. It's maddenning :)

Take me and you for example. We have great dialogues about the industry. I won't forget them. Even if they're serious, they are invaluable to me. Okay, maybe it doesn't make things as exciting as pulling each others' fanboy legs, but it's still so awesome. We get to talk, understand each others' POV, and appreciate the insight and though process we had to get there.

When things get all fanboyish, this is the kind of harmony we wish for. When we achieve harmony, we want to fight and pull each others' legs haha. XD
