Wait a minute, doesn't Batman know the achiles heel for each superhero in case one of them goes insane

Yeah he supposedely does which is where the batman will win with prep time joke comes from. Spiderman also knows all his fellow heroes weaknesses as well including the hulk, i remember in an issue where he fought digger who was a gamma radiated beast made up from loads of corpses spiderman revealed to someone, could of been mj that if push came to shove he knows how to kill the hulk but it would take a weeks worth of constantly avoiding the hulks blows so his gamma charge would eventually run out and he'd revert back to banner.

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

well the question doesn't really include prep time. it's about who will win in a straight fight.

Wolverine still owns the Hulk and every other Marvel character

actually the wolverine thing is really strange.

he can hang with the hulk no problem, but there's no way he can beat anyone who uses energy (especially electricity, which would make him useless against thor... we all know metal conducts electricity really well).

i guess it's just that the hulk only uses blunt attacks, so that his body can regenerate against concussions, while energy based attacks would make his regeneration a non factor.

It's more the power of being one of Marvels most marketable heroes.

Any of those characters you listed could beat Hulk...

problem is... they're idiots.

It's no fun to watch silver surfer fly into space and blast him with orbital lasers.

Thor and Hulk have both taken each other out in embarrising affairs so really it's a draw as far as i'm concerned.

Firelord is too much of a braggard.  He'd blast hulk with a couple of blasts and then get his ass kicked when he was gloating.  It doesn't help that Firelord somehow lost a fight to Spiderman.

Silver Surfer i'd think would win more often then not.

As for your cousin... just ask him this.

Hulk vs Silver Surfer....

Silver Surfer flies up to the orbital atomosphere and starts orbital bombing.

What can the hulk do?  Nothing.  Hulk is screwed.  Surfer would eventually just tear through the planet... then Hulk is just floating in space... where i believe he suffocates.

actually, even before hollywood sniffed wolverine up, there have been comics about hulk vs. wolverine with them fighting to a standstill. in retrospect it kinda makes sense. adamantium bone can't be broken (through conventional means), so no matter how hard hulk hits him, wolverine can just regenerate. on the other hand, hulk's skin is really susceptible to getting cut, especially with the hardest metal out there.

i already explained power cosmic to him, but he's like "that's not enough to destroy hulk. put them in a straight fight where the planet doesn't get destroyed and hulk can breathe in space, hulk is the most powerful."

I'm pretty sure Planet Hulk suggested otherwise.

Wolverine was popular well before Holywood.

He was nearly every kid's favorite X-man.  He was everywhere long before then.  He might even beat spiderman for most guest apperances.

yeah, but the wolverine thing is justified. logically, wolverine's powers are capable of hanging with the hulk.

i meant he said "if hulk can breathe in space" like saying if we take that thing out of the equation.

Oh and if you want to piss off your Cousin...

Somewhere there are scans on the internet of Batman knocking out the Hulk with a kick to the stomach.

Also... Thanos said Champion was almost as strong as the Hulk?

The only thing I remember him saying is that he was like the Hulk if your talking about when he nabs the power gem.

when Champion was pummeling Thanos' force field.

Thanos was like surprised with the power of his blows, instantly comparing him with the Hulk (not the exact words, but the idea is the same).

I just mean to say that Thanos thinks Champion and Hulk are of the same power level (even if Champion was then in possession of the Power Gem).

What he says was "As he gets angry his power grows, I think this would be like fighting an extraterrestial Hulk."

Or something like that.  I think it was just inregards to the Champions strength rising with anger.  Not a comparison in power so much as a comparison in fighting techniques.

Also while Champion did have the Power Gem he didn't know how to tap into it's power... it was Thanos making him angry that made him more powerful.  Which is amusingly why Thanos won the fight... by making his opponent so powerful it screwed up the planet.

i tend to think that thanos was actually comparing power. but i dunno.

i think that the power gem came into play even if Champion wasn't aware of it. when he fought she-hulk, she suggested that he take off the gem to make things fair. she-hulk won easily because Champion had become very dependent on the Power Gem.
