Forums - Microsoft - Mass Effect 2 “will feel like your game” if you keep your ME1 save, loads more details

Mass Effect 2 project director Casey Hudson has told GTTV that the game will essentially continue from from the first title if you’ve kept your save game.

“If you chose to start a game by importing a Mass Effect save, your game will feel like your game,” he said.

“The first moment will be different.”

Hudson expanded to give the first real details of the game’s plot.

“It’s about what’s happening with the Reapers, what happens to the human race.

“You’ll be able to see the Elusive Man in Mass Effect 2.”

He added: “Romances will be as well done and as sophisticated in Mass Effect 2 as they were in Mass Effect 1.

“Theres gonna be more people that you can meet, that you can take with you on missions and stuff like that. So there’s actually more romance options in Mass Effect 2.”

The developer said to expect plenty more from E3. Thans, Ben!

Could this be proof that it is to remain exclusive?

I wonder which of my 2 heroes i should use first?

My male good guy who looks like Jack Shapard from lost with a scar, or my bitchy blond female anti-hero with black lipstick...who also like blue chicks?

I guess i'll play through with both.

I really think it is a cool concept, building characters which can be used in future games...

Damnit, I deleted my save files. Might have to play through again.

This sounds great! The original Mass Effect is what really inspired me to purchase a 360.Looks like that might happen again in the future with ME2.

Bummer my save files are long gone now.

GOD I WANT THIS GAME!!!!!

Long Live SHIO!

I wonder if you can continue your relation ship with the characters already on your ship, or do they all die or something, and you start from scratch?

Were those 300kbs or data really that much a burden?
