lol, the 360 was 5k this week when it was over 20k a few weeks ago. Apparently falling like a rock is nothing compared to staying steady.

Sales wise, the Wii and DS. Respect wise, only the DS.

But Soriku, nobody seems to remember how poor the PS2's first year was either (hardly any good games, games that looked worse than Dreamcast games). Now look how the console is remembered more than eight years after launch.

So you reckon the wii can live up to those expectations rol.

I will not put down any console as I have no right to do that rol but I will say this.
I personally am disappointed in the wii as the sales somehow have not reflected the variety of games offered on the other 2 consoles.

That is just an opinion as I know the gaming community consists of lots of different tastes.

I'm sure most people disagree with thar games order if sales are any indication. More like DS > Wii > 360 > PSP > PS3 (PSP and PS3 switch sometimes though) as the general opinion.

Eh what? The Wii library has more variety than the other two consoles.

I think what you mean is that the Wii isn't as strongly represented in the genres the HD consoles are focused on which also happen to be the genres you like by far the most. Or you mean that third parties so far haven't given the Wii the respect and support it would have deserved considering its sales numbers.

But that's going to be better and as I said before, in a few years a lot of people won't even remember the current state of the Wii library which still lacks in a few genres.

 

I'd agree, the Wii has a far far wider variety of games, spanning the whole gaming spectrum available than the 2 HD consoles put together.

In other words you have just disproved your own answer to your thread.

If the criteria is sales, only Wii and DS will surpass PS2, the rest have no chance.
The respect criteria just seems to have been debunked, the only way to determine respect now is how many people enjoy their console... and I guarantee more enjoy the Wii than the PS3, PSP or X360... and in time the PS2 as well.
