Forums - Nintendo - Pokemon: My reflections on why the series is no longer fun

Ah, yeah, didn't see that post from him. Well then I just disagree on principle of fundamentally changing the gameplay of a franchise with such a huge competitive fanbase. That's a good way to piss a lot of people off.

Around the Network

This will be my first and likely last post in this thread.

1.) You hates the series because the story is no longer relevant to you. You're not a kid anymore so the monotone stories don't excite you anymore.. obviously.

2.) You seem to play the game casually. You seem to only want to play thru the story abd nothing more. As Naz has pointed out, the game can as deep as you're willing to let it be. You can be a kid and play with horrible movesets/EV's etc or you can play competitively and have several boxes of IV bred and EV trained Pokemon. I think you're about at the latter of the two.

3.) I'm going to guess that your in the camp of those who that fourth gen Pokemon are uninspired so you have no outstanding motivation to catch them all. Just my opinion but most fourth gen are more interesting than first gen Pokemon. Personal tastes doesn't make for fact but I'm just tryong to hit a cord.

Also, those you think that it's children that mostly buy these games, are willing to argue that 16 odd million people who bought D/P are all children and returning fans from firsy 31 odd buyers of R/B/G?

Pixel Art can be fun.
