I reckon the reason behind the 360 having more footage is cause the framerate is holding up better at this moment in time. PS3 has the superior specular mapping but as Fallout 3 demostrated that could harm the framerate.



cool finally develpoers are able to truly tax the PS3 and get its full power. However i still think overall these look very close but the edge definatly goes towards the PS3 versoin

Ah, but one thing people forget is that the Cell is actually rather good at certain graphical calculations, and developers often use the Cell to do some graphical pre-processing, taking some of the load off the RSX.  Of course, it's still up to the RSX to do all the shading and whatnot.  The Cell can just be used to crunch some numbers beforehand, saving the RSX some time in other areas.

Yeah, that was my take on Gears: amazing detail on 1 or 2 primary close characters, with everything else blurred so as not to tax the system.  Hey, it wins the screenshot wars, maybe.

 

Cause its 2 player split screen on one console,while the PS3 best looking game KZ2,Has no splitscreen it only looks a lil better,imagen if they took out the Split Screen,then you would see the true power of the xenos!

yeah i also noticed it the minute i saw the trailer.

i think he would have done better to keep his mouth shut or fingers away from the keyboard. devs want a engine that runs the same on both but saying that the 360 tends to run well with engines anyway so this might just mean the ps3 runs it even better. i hope thats what he means
