The fact that you can stream it only on Internet Explorer and no other browser should be a hint that the service stays with MSFT.

But it isn't a fact. Netflix streaming works fine with Firefox.

Stop making things up, I just tried using Firefox and look what happened:

I'm not making things up, I have never used IE to watch things online with netflix.

Also, quoted right off their site

What are the system requirements to watch movies instantly on my PC or Mac?

You must have a computer running Windows XP or Mac OS X and an active broadband connection to the Internet.
  • Windows XP requirements: Service Pack 2 or higher or Windows Vista; Internet Explorer version 6 or higher; Firefox 2 or higher; 1.2 GHz processor; 512 MB RAM.
  • Mac OS X requirements: an Intel-based Mac with OS 10.4.8 or later; Safari 3 or higher; Firefox 2 or higher; 1 GB RAM.

Well, it never worked with Firefox for me, so

Maybe it's just Firefox 3 then and they only recently added Firefox 2?

Because I know it doesn't work with Firefox 3 and I don't remember it working with FireFox 2 when I had that because I've always had to use Internet Explorer whenever I use it.

It works on Firefox 3. I use it all the time.

Bah, I'll correct myself again. It hasn't worked on Firefox since last time I tried to use (November-ish, whenever it came to the 360).  :-p

I have Firefox 3.0.7 and it doesn't work for me.

That's right, I'm watching Friends Frist: Win or Lose. ¬_¬

I am on Windows XP SP3 as well.  Interesting.  Did you download some sort of 3rd party plugin?

Here are the Add-ons I have on Firefox 3:

I'm pretty sure Netflix uses Silverlight.

Yeah, I am missing one of the plug-ins probably. Why the heck don't they prompt me to download it?
