If bioware is smart, which they are, they will have a simultaneous release, or just scrap the ps3 version altogether. If they pull over that 1 year port thing similar to bioshock, they'll lose a lot of money since it probably takes a lot of money to put the game on the ps3.

I have Mass Effect on the 360 and if the second one is announced for the PS3 then i'm not too sure which platform i would buy the game on since i vowed that my 360 would be for exclusive titles only and the PS3 would get all the multiplat games!

it probably cost less than 2 million to port... so less than 100,00 to break even

lol...they are hyping the game, without hyping it on the ps3 port. a good sign would be someone actually working on the FIRST game of the trilogy, as a sign....

but the save file carries over so im sure you can consider 2 an extension of 1 which is exclusive

i would actually say allowing these rumors to spread would hurt sales.

Mass effect 2 on the PS3 would mean a Mass Effect 1 release aswell right ? unless it's not a story intensive game.

that sure would maximize their profits since more people would more than likely play a sequel if they played the original but if bioware would rather have a team working on another project and moving forward rather than using resources on an old game than id say no

Maybe their thinking of putting Mass Effect 1 along with Mass Effect 2 on one BluRay disc.

It would make sense, of course that would mean no money from Mass Effect 1, from PS3 owners.

In the end though, it should stay 360 exclusive.
