Forums - Microsoft - I wipe my hands clean of PlayStation JUST BOUGHT A XBOX 360!?

IF you want to play Gears 1/2 on-line, I'd recommend staying away from the wireless adapter.

If hard wiring your system directly to your router is not feasible, consider something like this: http://www.netgear.com/Products/PowerlineNetworking/PowerlineEthernetAdapters/HDX101.aspx

Shame you had to get rid of your PS3, but welcome to the 360 family.

So, you're very religious eh? I wonder how many points you scored with you're god by screwing-over a retail outlet by selling them a broken system? And oh yeah, "I am a very religious person so wen it broke i really sat down to think about everything and wat i would do for my future of gaming i took it as a sign from a higher power telling me that it was time to go jump in". Dude, that's cheesier than a stuffed-crust pizza.

lol do you see what I'm talking about here?  to any mods that read this I'm seriously not trying to flame or be a troll but you guys gotta admit that is a straight hilarious comment.  Dude why are you getting so upset because he tried out a new system?  I've noticed sony fans seem to have the most extreme brand loyalty and I don't understand why.  You do realize that they are both just hunks of plastic that read a disc right?  The important thing is the games and if he feels like the games he wants to play are moving towards 360 than more power too him.

He will send it to MSFT to repair it for free any time over the next three years.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

Oh? You were being sarcastic? Somtimes sarcasm gets lost in the written word, you know? Enjoy your 360. But if reliabilty of hardware is such an issue for you, you may have made the wrong choice.

lol. And the sony fanboys drop like flys. Funny that you would switch consoles in a year where it seems Sony is having an increadible year software wise and new exclusives have been announced like crazy and the 360 is having a pretty dry year with very little announced and 360 owners craving new titles.

Wait for E3 dude. It's not over yet. We thought 2008 was going to be a dry year for the 360 as well while Sony had hot 4th quarter titles, but it didn't turn out that way, did it?

Last year at E3, Microsoft's big announcement was FFXIII going multiplat. Do you expect a similar announcement this year that'll help the 360 two years down the line?  How will that help the system out over the holidays?  :P

And I don't believe anybody thought 2008 would be dry spell for MS, seeing as we all knew about Lost Odyssey, Fable II, and Banjo long before 2008, and and most of us figured Gears 2 would be announced as well (and it was, at the very beginning of the year).

People just thought Sony's ps3 line-up would be much better.  Then a few of the games got delayed (like Killzone 2 and InFamous - and some people actually thought FFXIII would hit last year 0_o), putting the two on near equal footing.

That being said, Microsoft has a good number of 360 games floating aroudn that we just need to hear more about, many of which will probably hit this year.  Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and stuff like that.  And I still expect a Forza 3 announcement within the next two months. We'll probably see something from Rare, too.

That's what I was thinking.  He could've gotten the ps3 repaired for $150 through Sony, and recieved another full-BC 60GB unit back.

But instead he spent more than that on a 360 that is just as likely (if not more likely) to break than a refurbished ps3.

The guy looks to have lost a decent bit of money on the deal (he would've lost money either way, but it looks like he lost more by going this route instead of the other).

Well, GameStop takes back broken systems.  They just give you less for them than if they worked.

They test the system when you bring it in.  If there are any problems, and they take it in as a defective item.
