I am certain the game will be fun, I just hate when they use gimicks like that in them. I always have and that is one of the nitpicks I had with GoW 2.

After rewatching this footage, not only is it bad but it now pisses me off and here is why. The entire idea of kratos riding around on the back of the creature causing it to kill your other enemies is a joke. Why would the creature not try and get you off of its back instead? I am pretty certain if someone jumped on my back and was hitting me in the head I would do my damndest to knock them off. I certainly hope the game doesn't do this stuff often.

You'll probably have to really hurt the cyclops before being able to jump on the back and control it. It was just a demonstration of what Kratos could do in GOW3, otherwise the QTE icon wouldn't have shown up after one hit. The producer probably explains all this to the media before hand, which is why some things are shown behind a closed door instead of to the public. Most demos in GDC are just for purposes of showing off new tech.

Btw, theres no physics stuff in GoW 3 at all, but thats ok isn't it? If graphics are just top notch, everything else can be ripped off. Cya... :)

Responding to a question about cloth physics, Tilander also revealed that God of War 3 doesn't actually do any physics processing.
