Well it looks like the Media Create numbers paint a slightly prettier picture for our PS3 :)

^media create just out, maybe its way more than that.
Although this journalist's integrity seems to be in question, and the article itself passable, it still has been a great month for Sony's platforms in Japan.
The imperative question going forward is how well the PS3 in particular can sell without high-profile software. If it manages to stay above and/or with the Wii in the weeks leading up to the FFVII:AC bundle, a celebration would be much more appropriate.

I dont really think so. I mean i never really thought the Wii Sports was really anything special. Dont get me wrong i like it but its not as good to me like say KZ2. But i understand what your saying that Wii Sports Resort will say sell more then FFXIII because its a fun game for all unlike FFXIII or GoW3 that may appeal to a few million. But i was talking about quality because Sony is a great company and im glad i have been with them for years now. Same goes with Nintendo i love the company but i want them to produce more RPG's!!!!! Same with Sony more RPG's!!!!! And get friggen FFXIII/vsXIII out already!!!!!

Well, there are/will be quite some JRPGs for Wii in 2009. Kizuna, Maramasa, Arc Rise Fantasia, Tales of Ten, Valhalla Knights, Dynamic Slash, Crystal Bearers, Fragile
And that's without popular Japanese games like Samurai Warrior 3 and the two Monster Hunter games
And then we also have Nintendo's own titles.
I would say "2009 Ps3 lineup-------------->2009 Wii Lineup" is definitely false for Japan. Also if we take core games only.

Already took care of it Benga. Also, Fragile was released and Dynamic Slash isn't an RPG.
"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

LOL :)
At 24k/week, that's a whopping 1.2m for the year. And guess what - PS3 sales have very much peaked for now, its all downhill for a while at least...
Anyway, give it a few more weeks and wait until the Wii really warms up this year. Then I think we'll be back to normal status...

Yay! Lets just ignore the fact that the wii wins every other week of the year

that's not even possible with a price drop and FF13 bundle lol.

How about a price drop at the same time as FF13 bundle?
Anyway this isn't dominance in any way, shape or form. While I am happy that Japan is keeping PS3 numbers alive, WW is what matters most.

That's really not that hard to do when you think bout it, or don't...
